Be Respectful

Treat every member the way you'd want to be treated in your stylist's chair — with kindness and respect. This community is home to stylists, clients, salon owners, and hair enthusiasts from all backgrounds and experience levels.

Disagree with ideas, not people. Keep conversations constructive.
No personal attacks, name-calling, bullying, or harassment of any kind.
Respect people's time, expertise, and boundaries.
Be mindful that tone can be hard to read online — give others the benefit of the doubt.

Keep It Supportive

This is a space for lifting each other up. Whether someone is sharing their first install, asking a question they think is "basic," or showing off a style they're proud of — encouragement goes a long way.

Celebrate wins, big and small.
If offering feedback, make it constructive and kind.
Remember that everyone starts somewhere.

Share Authentically

We value real conversations and genuine experiences.

Share your honest experiences — both the good and the lessons learned.
When recommending products or services, be transparent about any affiliations.
Don't impersonate other stylists, salons, or brands.
Respect copyright — only share photos and content you have permission to use.

No Spam or Self-Promotion

We want this community to be helpful, not a billboard.

Don't post repetitive promotional content, unsolicited ads, or affiliate links.
Stylists are welcome to share their work and participate in relevant discussions naturally — just don't turn every thread into an advertisement.
If you're sharing a link, make sure it adds value to the conversation.

Protect Privacy

Your safety and privacy matter.

Don't share other people's personal information (phone numbers, addresses, DMs) without their consent.
When sharing photos of clients, ensure you have their permission.
Keep private conversations private.

Stay On Topic

Help keep discussions organized and easy to follow.

Post in the appropriate tags/categories.
Stay on topic within a discussion. If you want to take the conversation in a new direction, start a new discussion.
Use descriptive titles so others can find and benefit from the conversation.

What's Not Allowed

To keep everyone safe, the following will result in content removal and may lead to suspension:

Hate speech, racism, discrimination, or slurs of any kind.
Sexually explicit or inappropriate content.
Threats of violence or encouragement of self-harm.
Doxxing or sharing someone's private information.
Scams, phishing, or deceptive business practices.
Spam, including repetitive posts, irrelevant links, or bot-generated content.

How We Handle Issues

If something doesn't feel right, use the Flag button on any post to report it. Our moderation team reviews all reports.

First-time issues are typically addressed with a friendly message.
Repeated violations may result in a formal warning.
Serious or continued violations may lead to temporary or permanent suspension.

We aim to be fair and transparent. If you have questions about a moderation decision, you can reach out to the admin team.
